Our Story

This is us and our story. We are Jason and Virginia Daugherty from Vaughn, Montana in Big Sky Country. We grow cut flowers for our local community and the surrounding areas, all on 10 acres with about 1/4 acre in production. We have 5 little(s), who are a big part of the flower growing process on our farm. It's our hope that they will be raised with a good work ethic but more importantly, that they love the farm life as much as Jason and I did growing up.

Every year, we put our energy, time, and backs into growing these flowers but in the end it's all up to the good Lord, If He wants people to love and enjoy our blooms, He will make it happen.

We all have a part in making this operation successful, it's what we call teamwork at it's finest.

Virginia: I had a dream, and it appears the dream has expanded :D With that dream, countless hours of planning, ordering, seeding/planting, weeding, bookwork, watering, weeding again, marketing, etc have been done. Even when all the hours in the day have been filled to the brim and I hit the pillow for a couple hours of sleep, I still love each and every part of our business and farm. Even the simple but annoying task of weeding :).

Jason: The brains and constructor of our farm. He is the all around honey-do guy. You will find him watering, planting, building, fixing  and even weeding. He also grounds me when I think there are more than 24 hours in a day.

The girls: Leah, Maddison, Bailey and Harper.  These 4 musketeers are learning more and more every year about each flower and when to harvest it, plant and soil health, why we don't like weeds, watering, and now have started to slowly conquer the bouquet making process.  Who knows, maybe in a couple years they can take over the farm in the Summer and I will go on vacation for a week. (Oh....dreams)

The boy: Kolbe  A little farm boy he is! He has successfully stomped on almost every variety of flowers we grew this year, and if he didn't stomp on it he popped the bloom off. He is also wonderful at keeping busy outside by driving his lil' tractors through the dirt while we are.........weeding.

There we are in a nutshell.

All Glory and Praise to our Lord for helping us be able to raise this beauty, in flowers, for our wonderful communities.  We are so very blessed and thankful. God is good!

Genesis 1:9-13

And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.

God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it." And it was so.
The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.
And there was evening and there was morning, the Third Day.
